Chromium is my browser of choice, but it won’t play any music, what can I do?

We made recent changes that do not require the Flash plugin for certain browsers. Chromium does not come with mp3 HTML5 audio playback support when you first install the browser on your Linux system. However, the necessary codec can be added by installing the "chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra". You can find it in the Ubuntu Software Center.

The Terminal command to install the package is: sudo apt-get install chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra
After restarting Chromium, you should be able to play music on
