SoundCloud for Podcasters
SoundCloud's podcasting program is currently in beta. This means that you will need to apply to the program and be accepted in order to enable your RSS feed on your SoundCloud account.
*Currently we are only accepting spoken word podcasts, which means that if your podcast contains music clips or you review music, your application may not be approved.
You can apply to be accepted to our podcasting beta program here.
Once you've been accepted into our podcasting beta, you will receive a confirmation from us letting you know that your RSS feed has been enabled. You can now use the SoundCloud podcasting features to share your sounds on your favorite RSS aggregators, like iTunes, Stitcher, Swell and Instacast.
Where do I find my RSS feed URL?
To access your SoundCloud RSS, you will need to switch back to Classic, then go to your public profile and click the orange square in the top right corner:
If you click on this symbol, you will be provided with two options - the RSS feed URL or the "iTunes for Podcast" option. The RSS feed URL can be used to submit your sounds to the iTunes directory or other podcasting directories and subscription services. The "iTunes for Podcast" option allows fans to add your show into their iTunes library if you have not submitted it to the iTunes podcast directory yourself.
Will all my sounds be added to my RSS feed automatically?
Only if you want them to be. When you go to http://soundcloud.com/settings/extra, you will have the option to check or uncheck the box at the top of the page that says "Enable podcasting for all my tracks by default." If the box is checked, all new uploads will be added to your RSS feed. Keep in mind, this setting will only affect subsequent uploads. Changing your account's default setting will not affect the individual setting of any sound that has already been uploaded to your account.
If you wish to individually add or remove a sound from your RSS feed, go to the sound's edit page by clicking the pencil icon on the player. On the next page, go to the “Settings” section and click where it says "Click to change" under “Apps & Podcasts enabled.” In the following popup box, check or uncheck the "Available for Podcasts" box:
