What’s the best way to get heard?
If you want to get yourself heard on SoundCloud, you want to make sure the right people are hearing you, right!?By building a community around your sounds, you're more likely to receive constructive feedback from people who're interested and care about the sounds you are creating. A couple of members from the community got together to pass on their advice on how they've been successful in promoting their sounds, and you can learn about this on our experience and community building 101.
We've seen some really exciting examples of what this can do for the community. By building up relationships with other members we've seen global collaborations, we've seen artists reach out to their own community and crowd source sounds for tracks, we even saw a marriage proposal! The options are endless, you've just got to come up with the ideas.
But, please do be aware that we're not ok with members "faking it", SoundCloud forbids the use of our platform for any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional messages, spam or any other form of solicitation. Remember when trying to promote your sounds, be genuine: posting identical comments on sounds will seem impersonal. It’s unlikely others will be interested in your sounds and are more likely to ignore and maybe even Mute you!
