Do I need to get consent to upload audio files/recordings?

When uploading content to SoundCloud you are agreeing that you own or have obtained all the correct licences, consents and permissions from anyone whose voice is featured in your recording. If we receive complaints that someone's voice has been recorded and/or uploaded without their consent, we will temporarily hide your sound and ask you to prove that you have the necessary consents, or to convince us why you feel that the recording should remain on SoundCloud (for example, because publishing the recording is in the public interest). If proof cannot be provided, the sound will have to be removed and your account may be deleted.
