I just recorded a sound and it won't upload!

When you record a sound directly on SoundCloud - or with one of the apps - and your sound doesn't upload or it gets stuck transcoding, it will register as "too hot". When this happens, unfortunately, there isn't a way to retrieve the original file directly on SoundCloud. If it was recorded with one of the official native apps (i.e. iPhone, iPad, Desktop, or Android), check if the file is locally saved under 'You' as a failed upload. If it's there, make sure you're connected to a strong wifi connection before trying to upload it again.

*Note: If your sound is over 6 hours and 45 minutes long, our system will not be able to transcode it. Reducing the file's sample rate or making it mono will increase this sound's length limit to 13 hours
