Why am I unable to send messages?

If you're being told to slow it down or that you've been reported for spam when trying to send messages, then it's likely the messages you've been sending are a little too similar. Sending out identical, or near identical messages, in a short space of time is considered 'spammy' and is in breach of our Terms of Use.

To avoid any further restrictions on your messaging, please remember to be genuine when contacting others. One of the reasons our community is a great place is its positive and constructive nature, which is created by members being genuine with their interactions.  You can hear some great tips about how to do this from other SoundCloud community members here.
