• Can I "save" tracks to a specific place so I can find them again?

Your tracks are all saved and uploaded to your tracks page.

For tracks that aren't your own, you can easily build a playlist with your favorite tracks by clicking 'Save to Favorites' on the track's player.

  • Can I re-order my tracks or sets?

There isn't a way to reorder the tracks in the track tab, since it works like a news feed and shows the most recent track at the top, but we have a premium feature called Spotlight, which allows you to choose 5 tracks and/or sets from your profile and order them however you like on a page. You can enable this feature by going to your public profile (that's your account's URL). On the right hand side of your profile, there's a gear icon you can click to configure your profile settings. Once you do that, click the "+ Add Spotlight Tab" button.

You can learn more about this feature here.
  • How do I create a set?

Creating a set is nice and simple. Head on over to your sets page and click 'Create your first set'! What's so easy about this is it will automatically assemble tracks into a set when you select more than one during the upload. You're also able to edit the track titles during the upload and can change the order of your tracks within the same set by dragging and dropping. You can also update a set by adding new files later.

  • If I delete a track, will it free up minutes in my account?

    Yup, it will.
  • How do I delete, edit or share a track?

Above the waveform of your track & set, you'll see additional options: a pen icon (edit) and a trash icon (delete).

To delete a track or set, hit the trash icon.

To access the settings of a track or set, hit the pen icon and you'll get directed to the settings where you can edit your track.

If you can't see these icons, make sure you have your browser upgraded to the latest version, you're logged in and you're looking at your own tracks.
  • Tracks won't play. What can I do?

Always make sure that your browser and Flash player are updated to the latest versions; if you've installed any flash or ad-blocking plugins in your browser, please add soundcloud.com to the exceptions list in the plugin settings.

Also, always try to reload the page first and double-check using a different browser as in most cases, playback hiccups are only temporary.
  • Can people download my tracks?

Not unless you checked the optional 'Downloads enabled' box in the edit mode/upload page of the track. Tracks are by default not downloadable unless you explicitly make them so.

To make your track downloadable after uploading, click the pen icon above the waveform and check the box that says "Downloads disabled" to make it display "Downloads enabled" (like in the image below).

  • How do I download a track?

Not all tracks are downloadable. If you don't see a "download" button, it means the user who uploaded it did not intend for it to be downloadable.

If you are looking at a set, you can download from there by clicking the down arrow on the right side of the set, like in the below image:

As for flash widgets, you can download (if the sound is downloadable) by clicking the little down arrow as well:

The artwork and HTML5 widget will have a button that says 'Download' on it. As for the mini widget, you will have to click-through to the actual SoundCloud page to see if the specific sound is downloadable.
  • I can't click the download button, it's greyed out.

This means that the uploader has reached their download limit for the track and no further users may download it.

  • I'd like to replace or update a file, can I do that?

You're able to replace or update your track with a Premium account! Go into the edit mode of the track you would like to replace and click 'Replace file' near the top of the page! Like in this image:

Replacing a track like this will allow you to keep the previous stats and comments made on the track before!
