We are offering access to our public APIs for you to develop cool new ideas to enjoy music even more!

Getting API access

You can apply for access by talking to our chatbot Otto and giving him some information such as name and description of your app, so our team can review your request and create credentials for you.

Allowed usage of SoundCloud public APIs

You can find all information about the Do's and Don'ts in our API Terms of Use. 

Generally, our public APIs cannot be used for commercial use cases, but also some non-commercial applications that are frequently requested are not possible, for example:

• Developing a Discord bot
• Mixing music from SoundCloud with other content, e.g. for videos or within games
• Downloading or storing of any content of SoundCloud 

If you break the rules

If we have reason to believe that you are acting in breach of our API Terms Of Use, or if we object to your use of the SoundCloud API for any other reason, we will revoke your access to the SoundCloud API by invalidating your client ID and client secret. Any attempt to circumvent this and obtain a new client ID and client secret is strictly prohibited.
