I haven’t received my confirmation email

Confirmation emails are generally sent out instantly. If you haven't received one yet, please try the following:


1. Check your spam folder to make sure it didn't end up there by accident

2. Add hello@soundcloud.com to your address book in your email settings. It may be that your email provider has bounced our email confirmation


If you need to verify your email before signing in:

  • Click ‘resend email’ as you sign in
  • Try signing up with another method like Apple/Google


If you are signed in:

  • Try again to re-send the email confirmation from your account (this can be done through your Email Settings page)
  • If it still isn't working, check to see if there's a typo in your email in your Email Settings page.
  • You can also try adding another email to your account where it says "Add another email address". You’ll then get a confirmation email in your new email’s inbox to confirm your account.

 

The magic link in the email does not work, what can I do?

  • The link may have timed out. Try to sign in and click ‘resend email’. You may need to go to the Email Settings page to resend the email.

 

Why do I need to verify my email?

  • To reduce unauthorized account access and increase the security of your account.
