Filling out the copyright claim form

To finish the dispute process, please complete our web form with accurate information. This step is required for the DMCA counter-notification and will be reviewed by our Copyright Team.

Review Your Choices

At the top of the page, check your previous selections. If anything is incorrect, you can go back and update it.

Detail Your Rights

After verifying your choices, describe your rights to the track. Provide as much relevant information as possible. Example details you can include:

  • A link to where your track is sold (iTunes, Amazon, etc.)
  • Any online broadcasting license you hold
  • A screenshot of permission from the original copyright holder
  • Contact email for your label or distributor

Note: Multiple rights holders may have copyrights to your content. You generally need permission from all of them.

Provide Contact Information

Enter accurate contact details. If you file a DMCA notice, your information may be shared with the person who reported the infringement, following DMCA procedures.

Agree to Legal Statements

To submit your dispute, you must agree to standard legal statements at the end of the form. Read them carefully before proceeding.

  • Only dispute takedowns if you have a valid reason and always provide truthful information.

SoundCloud may terminate your account if you knowingly misrepresent your rights.

  • Providing false information violates our terms and may lead to account termination.

SoundCloud is not obligated to reinstate your tracks. If reinstated, you agree to indemnify SoundCloud against any claims or liabilities resulting from this action.

  • False copyright claims can have serious legal consequences. Please be sure before submitting a dispute.
