SoundCloud collects unique personal data — email, sign-up and last seen at IP, audio files, month and year of birth— for each account on the platform. We do this so we can get to know our community members and better serve their needs.

In cases where legal authorities request data about our users, we require the requesting party to adhere to the guidelines set out in our Law Enforcement Guidelines. We will only release user data in cases where we are legally required to do so.
