How do I cancel my SoundCloud Go subscription?

Canceling your SoundCloud Go subscription varies depending on how you purchased it. Here’s how you can do it:

I purchased through Apple / iOS device:

If you purchased your SoundCloud Go subscription through the Apple App Store, you need to cancel it directly with Apple. SoundCloud cannot assist with cancellations or refund requests for subscriptions purchased on iOS devices. Follow the steps provided by Apple Support to cancel your subscription. Please note, that deleting your SoundCloud account will not cancel your subscription with Apple.

I purchased through Android / Google Play:

If you purchased your SoundCloud Go subscription via Android / Google Play, you need to cancel it directly through the Google Play app. You can manage your Google Play subscriptions under your profile settings in the "Payments and Subscriptions" section. Follow the steps provided by Google Play Help to cancel your subscription. Again, deleting your SoundCloud account will not cancel your subscription with Google Play.

I purchased on the SoundCloud website:

If you purchased your SoundCloud Go subscription from the SoundCloud website, you can cancel it any time before the end of your current 30-day payment period.

  • Click on the icon next to your current subscription status.

Follow the Prompts to Cancel:

  • You will be redirected to a page where you can confirm and finalize the cancellation.

If you change your mind, you can upgrade back to a SoundCloud Go subscription at any time through the SoundCloud Go purchase page.

 

How do I know if my subscription is canceled?

To confirm your subscription is canceled:

Check Your Subscription Status:

  • Log into your account on a computer and visit soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions.
  • If using a mobile device, check your status in the SoundCloud app’s settings.
  • If your plan status says "EXPIRES," your subscription is canceled, and you will not be charged again.

If the status says "RENEWS," your subscription is still active, and you will be charged on the next payment date.

Will I get a refund after I cancel my SoundCloud Go subscription?

SoundCloud does not offer refunds for the period between when you cancel your SoundCloud Go subscription and the next payment date. After cancellation, your account remains active with full access to tracks, offline listening, and ad-free streaming until the next renewal date. Once this period ends, your account will be downgraded to the free SoundCloud experience. For more details, please refer to SoundCloud's Terms of Use.

When will I be charged for my SoundCloud Go subscription?

The SoundCloud Go subscription renews every 30 days, so your credit card will automatically be billed every 30 calendar days. The payment date may vary each month. If you prefer a different billing date, you need to opt out of automatic renewal by editing your subscription on the Subscriptions page.

I have purchased a Go subscription, but it doesn't show. What can I do?

If your SoundCloud Go subscription doesn’t appear after purchase, try refreshing your app.

Steps to Refresh Your App:

Within the App:

  • Go to the Library, then click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
  • The option to restore your purchase will be available on this screen.

 

If Purchased on the Website:

  • Sign out and back into the SoundCloud app to refresh your device’s cache.

After refreshing, your SoundCloud Go subscription should be active.
