Which content will be available to stream in High-Quality?
Tracks uploaded in a lossless format or at a high bitrate will be available for streaming in High-Quality. SoundCloud is committed to making as much content as possible available to Go+ subscribers in High-Quality 256kbps AAC.
How do I enable High-Quality streaming?
If you are a Go+ subscriber, you can enable High-Quality streaming as follows:
On a Computer:
- Go to your Settings page.
- Under the Streaming section, choose "High-Quality audio."
On iOS:
- Go to your Library.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner to access your settings.
- Choose 'Streaming Quality' and then tap 'High-Quality audio.'
On Android:
- Tap the bottom right symbol to access the 'More' page.
- Tap 'Settings.'
- Choose 'Streaming Quality' and then tap 'High-Quality audio.'
Are my offline saved tracks saved in High-Quality?
Yes, Go+ users can download high-quality tracks for offline listening on both iOS and Android devices.
On iOS:
- Go to your Library.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner to access settings.
- Click on 'Settings' and then 'Downloads.'
- Choose 'Download high-quality audio.'
As a Creator, how do I ensure my tracks can be played in High-Quality?
To ensure your tracks are available for high-quality streaming, make sure to upload files in a lossless format such as .wav, .flac, .alac, or .aiff. Only files supplied in these formats will be transcoded to SoundCloud's High-Quality format.
