How to Delete Tracks from Your SoundCloud Profile

What should a user do if they want to delete tracks uploaded via their label?

If you have an account that was auto-generated by SoundCloud on behalf of your delivering rightsholder, and you would like to request that these tracks be removed from the platform altogether, that’s not something we can help with. In this instance, you'll need to get in touch with your delivering rightsholder who uploaded the tracks via the supply chain (or label) and request them to send us a takedown request for the content.

What are the detailed steps for troubleshooting, including checking the Status Blog and using different browsers?

If you're having trouble deleting a track from your profile, first ensure you are logged into your account, as you need to be logged in to see the trash bin icon below the track’s waveform. If the issue persists, try the following steps:

  • Check the Status Blog: Visit the SoundCloud Status Blog to confirm that there are no ongoing site interruptions that might be causing difficulties with loading pages or deleting tracks.
  • Use a different browser: Attempt to delete the track using another browser, such as Firefox, Chrome, or Edge. Sometimes, browser-specific issues can interfere with site functions.

What should users do if disabling antivirus or firewall doesn’t resolve the issue?

If disabling your antivirus or firewall doesn’t resolve the issue, and you are still unable to delete the track:

  • Try deleting from different platforms: You can use both the SoundCloud desktop website and app to delete tracks. However, note that you cannot delete tracks using the mobile website.
  • Understand restrictions for blocked tracks: If the track is blocked for copyright infringement, it cannot be deleted and will remain on your track manager page. These blocked tracks will not count towards your account quota, won't be publicly available, and will only be visible to you when logged in. If this is the case, consider whether you want to dispute the takedown instead of deletion.

Following these instructions, you can use our desktop website or app to delete tracks; however, you can’t delete using our mobile website.
