Sign In Notifications

Whenever someone signs in to a SoundCloud from a device we haven't seen before or an existing device we’ve not seen in awhile, the primary email address will receive a notification email to make you aware of this. The email will look like the one shown below:

If you receive an email notification and can clearly identify the sign in as one that you have performed, you can ignore the notification email.

Occasionally, it’s possible that the city associated with the IP address might be displayed in a slightly inaccurate manner. This is due to the way this data is fetched. In these cases, if the sign in is clearly shown to be from your IP address there would be no need for alarm and you can ignore the notification email.

It’s also possible that the IP address or location might be missing from the notification too. Again, if you’re certain that the sign in is one that you have performed, you can ignore the notification email.

However, If you receive an notification email where you have not performed a correlating sign in, this could indicate that someone else has gained access to your account. In this instance, you should follow the guidance given in this article  as soon as possible.

As these notifications act as a security feature, we don’t currently have a way for you to disable these notifications.
