Enabling Monetization with SoundCloud for Artists dashboard
Next Pro subscribers can easily set up and manage monetization settings through the SoundCloud for Artists Dashboard. Remember, you'll need to do this yourself, as SoundCloud doesn't set-up monetization automatically.
By submitting your tracks for monetization you'll benefit from fan-powered royalties, which allows you to get paid based on your dedicated fans’ actual listening habits. When you monetize directly on SoundCloud, you keep 100% of your royalties so the more fans that listen to your music, the more you'll get paid.
Note: you can only monetize content you own or have legal rights to. Monetization requests go through an approval process and may not be approved if we are unable to confirm you have the rights to monetize.
To monetize your content please go to your SoundCloud for Artists dashboard and click Monetization.
You will be able to submit content on your linked channel for monetization, promotion, and exclusive Next Pro features like track art, banner click throughs, and featured profiles!
To confirm a track is monetized, log into your dashboard and navigate to the Monetization tab. Then, click into the channel and locate the track in question. Once you see the “Approved” status change to a blue $ sign and a “Monetizing” status, your track is monetizing!
It normally takes up to 5 business days for a track to become monetized on SoundCloud.
If you don't have an ISRC code, you can request one when entering the track's details:
Please note: If you don't see your tracks under the Monetization tab, all you have to do is to tap 'Sync with SoundCloud'. Then just refresh the page and your tracks will appear.
