SoundCloud Insights help you understand who is listening to your tracks, how they’re interacting, and where your music is being played. This data can guide your promotion, release strategy, and fan engagement. Please note: The Insights Overview page is in GMT. 

What You’ll Find in Insights

Metrics included:

• Plays: Number of times your track is played (self-plays excluded).  

• Likes: Saves to listeners’ Libraries

• Comments: Fan engagement on your tracks

• Reposts: Shares to other listeners’ Streams

• Downloads: Saved to listeners’ devices (if enabled)

Advanced Insights exclusively for Artist Pro subscribers:

• Top Fans — See which listeners play your tracks the most.

• Locations — Identify countries and cities where your music is popular.

• Sources — Find out which websites and apps your tracks are played on.

Accessing Your Insights

• Desktop: Click your profile avatar → Your Insights.

• Mobile: From your Artist Home, Library, or SoundCloud Channel, click Your Insights.

• Default view shows activity from the past 30 days, but you can select other time periods.

Reading the Overview Page

Activity Graph:

• Shows Plays, Likes, Comments, Reposts, Downloads over time.

• Highlights top 5 tracks; remaining activity is grouped as Others.

• Hover (desktop) or tap (mobile) to see daily totals.

Time Period:

• Select Day, Week, Month, Year from the dropdown to see trends over different periods.
