Unable to Sign In to Your Account

If you’re having trouble accessing your account, use these steps to identify the issue and regain access.

I forgot my password

You can reset your password from any device.

  1. Go to the Forgot password page on the web or select Forgot your password? on the mobile app sign-in screen.

  2. Enter the email address linked to your account.

  3. Check your inbox for a reset link. If you don't see it, check your spam or junk folder.

I forgot my sign-in email

If you don't remember which email you used, you can sign in using your profile URL.

  1. Open soundcloud.com and search for your profile name.

  2. Select your profile to open your page.

  3. Copy the part of the URL after soundcloud.com/ (e.g., soundcloud.com/fontainesdublin).

  4. Use that profile URL in the email field along with your password to sign in.

I can't access my email address

If you’ve lost access to the email account linked to your SoundCloud profile, follow these steps to regain entry.

Try a linked social account

If you previously connected a social profile, you can bypass the email requirement entirely. Select the Continue with Facebook, Google, or Apple icons on the sign-in page to see if an active connection exists.

Check for an active session

Check all your devices (tablets, old phones, or work computers). If you are still signed in anywhere, go to your Settings immediately to update your email address to one you can currently access.

Recover your email via your provider

Try to regain access through your email host's recovery tools:

Contact support for account recovery

If you cannot recover your email and aren’t signed in anywhere else, our team will need to manually verify your ownership. Reach out to our AI agent and provide the following details:

  • Associated email: The email address linked to the SoundCloud account.

  • New email: A preferred email address (this must not already be associated with a SoundCloud account).

  • Activity dates: Your account creation date and your last successful sign-in date.

  • Track data: Names of any private or deleted tracks.

  • IP address: The last IP address you used to sign in (search "What is my IP" on Google to find yours).

"Our robots think you're spam" error

If you see a spam or "robot" error, our anti-spam systems may have flagged your connection. This is often resolved with these quick steps:

  • Refresh the page or try a different web browser.

  • Disable any active VPNs, ad-blockers, or privacy extensions.

  • Try a different internet connection (e.g., switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data).

Troubleshooting the mobile app

If you are entering the correct details but the app won’t let you in:

  1. Check for updates: Ensure you are running the latest version of the SoundCloud app.

  2. Clear cache: On Android, go to Basic settings in the app and select Clear application cache.

  3. Reinstall: If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the app. This often resolves minor technical blocks.
