Track Page Top / First Fans

The Fans module showcases a track’s most dedicated supporters. When you listen to, like, or follow a particular track, we may share that data—including your historical data—with other SoundCloud users to reward and recognize you through the Fans module. Those who have played a track the most appear in the Top Fans tab, and those who were first to listen appear in the First Fans tab.

This module is visible to all users, and is a way for artists to publicly celebrate their biggest fans, as well as those who were there as soon as a track dropped.

Artists with an Artist Pro subscription can see a full list of Top Fans in the Top listeners section of Insights.

Removing yourself from a Fans list

If you appear in a Top or First Fans list, you can remove yourself by hovering over your name, pressing the X button and confirming your removal. Warning: this cannot be undone.

This will remove you from the particular list but will not remove you from any other Fans lists. If you want to ensure you don’t show up in any Fans lists, you can opt-out of the feature entirely by visiting the Privacy tab on your Settings page and disabling “Show when I’m a First or Top Fan”.

Removing Fans from my tracks

Artists can remove specific users from the Fans lists on their track pages by hovering over the user in the list, pressing the X button, and confirming the removal. Warning: this cannot be undone.

This will remove the user from the particular list but will not remove the user from your other Fans lists. Artists can still block specific fans to remove them from all their Fans lists, or can choose to disable the Fans module entirely. If you want to disable this feature on your own tracks, you can do so by visiting the Privacy tab on your Settings page and disable “Show First and Top Fans for my tracks”.
