My SoundCloud for Artists account
Where can I update my account information?
Once you are logged into your account, click your name in the top right corner of the dashboard, then click Settings. You can edit account information such as your name, 2FA, PayPal email, account access, and your notification preferences.
To update your email address and password, please go to the account settings for the SoundCloud profile associated with your SC4A account.
Can I add additional users to my account like my manager?
Yes! Just go to the Access tab in Settings and add a new 3rd party collaborator by entering their SoundCloud channel. Please note: you are only able to grant access with a SoundCloud channel that your collaborator uses to log in to their SoundCloud for Artists account. You may want to check with your collaborator first to confirm the channel they use to login before attempting to add it.
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) increases the security of your SC4A account by requiring more than just your SoundCloud credentials to log in.
Note: Two-Factor Authentication is moving from your SoundCloud for Artist account to all of SoundCloud. This means you will have even greater protection of your account, tracks and information.
You can add, edit and remove 2FA via the SoundCloud.com settings page. You will then be asked for your 2FA code anytime you sign in to the SoundCloud app or website.
If you already have 2FA via App set up in SC4A, then you will be migrated to the new system. You can use the same codes from your app, which are likely still saved under “Repost”. We suggest removing this and re-adding in the new system, so the naming is clear. This takes 1 minute.
If you were using SMS 2FA, this unfortunately will no longer be supported. You will need to re-configure your 2FA via Authenticator App in the new settings page. We suggest setting up an Google Authenticator on iOS or Android, LastPass Authenticator, or Authy.
Once you do this, your SMS 2FA with SoundCloud for Artists will be automatically disabled.
I'm locked out, what can I do?
If you’ve lost access to your 2FA credentials, here are some methods that can help you get back into your account.
