Reporting promotional services
SoundCloud aims to help creators to connect directly with their fans. We understand that promoting your work is important, and we encourage you to seek out fans and other like-minded individuals. In our experience, the most successful forms of promotion are built upon meaningful interactions between creators and their audience. That’s why the use of promotional services which sell social interactions is against the rules.
Reporting charging for promotion
Charging to promote the content of other accounts (e.g. charging others to upload and/or repost their content onto your account) is considered to be an unauthorized form of advertising, which is a violation of our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
If you would like to report accounts charging for promotion, please provide us with the following details using our chatbot feature:
- The URL of the account you want to report
- A brief explanation of the services being offered
- Any other information to support your case e.g. screenshots related to the service offerings
Reporting a sale of account
You can’t sell or offer to sell any SoundCloud account or URL. The sale of accounts or URLs is prohibited in our Terms, as outlined below:
"You must not sell or transfer, or offer to sell or transfer, any SoundCloud account to any third party without the prior written approval of SoundCloud."
If you would like to report someone for attempting to sell an account, please provide us with the following details using our chatbot feature:
- The URL of the account you want to report
