SoundCloud is built on connection. Comments allow fans to give immediate feedback and creators to engage directly with their audience at specific moments in a track.

How to leave a comment

• Web: Click any free space in the area below the waveform to leave a comment at that exact timestamp. Type your message in the text box and press Enter.

• Mentions: Tag another user by typing @ followed by their Profile URL (e.g., @artistname). They will receive a notification that you've mentioned them.

• Replies: Click the user’s avatar on the waveform or hit Reply next to their comment on the track page.

Managing your own comments

You can view every comment you’ve ever made by going to your profile and clicking "View all" in the comments section (or adding /comments to the end of your Profile URL).

• To Delete: Click the trash can icon next to your comment.

• Important: Deleted comments are removed permanently and cannot be restored.
