Manage Comments in Artist Studio

Artist Studio organizes all your track comments chronologically, making it easy to track and respond to fan feedback directly on the platform.

This feature is exclusive to Artist Pro subscribers. To access it and other benefits, upgrade your subscription here.

Can I still see and reply to comments on the main SoundCloud site?

Yes! We’ve added this new Comments section in the SoundCloud for Artists dashboard to continue in our effort to make it an all-in-one platform for everything you might want to do to engage with your fans and manage your career. Comments can be seen and replied to from either your SC4A dashboard or on SoundCloud directly.

Hide or disable a comment

If you would like to hide or disable your track’s comments from being publicly available, you can do so with our Quiet Mode feature, which is available with our Artist Pro subscription. Quiet Mode allows you to:

Delete a comment

To remove a comment from one of your tracks, go to the track’s page and to the comment below the track’s waveform. Hover over the comment you want to delete, and click the trash can icon that appears: this will remove the comment, and give you the option to report the comment as spam. Deleting comments is only available through our website.

Please note: There is no way to restore comments that have been deleted. Once a comment has been deleted, it is permanently removed from the track.

Why are comments not appearing on my track?

There are a few reasons why comments may not be appearing on your track.

Quiet Mode

If you have an Artist Pro subscription, please check to see if you have enabled Quiet Mode on your track. If you have Quiet Mode enabled, it will hide comments from appearing on the waveform and track page. You can check to see if Quiet Mode is enabled through your track's edit page in the Permission tab.

You replaced your track’s file

If you have an Artist Pro subscription and recently replaced your track’s file with a shorter version, don’t worry. The comments on your track that were on the previously longer portion of your track will still appear in the comments section, but won’t show avatars on the waveform.

Comments were deleted

If you got a notification that someone left a comment on your track, but when you go to your track’s page it isn’t there, that means that they have deleted the comment before you could read it.
