Embedding tracks FAQs
What are embed codes on SoundCloud, and how can they be used?
Embed codes allow your tracks to be shared on blogs and websites through SoundCloud's embedded players. You can manage the visibility of the embed code, making it private or enabling it for anyone to share through your track's Permissions tab.
How can I manage the embed code settings for individual tracks?
You can make the embed code for an individual track private or public by going to the track's Permissions tab. From there, you can toggle the embed code settings as needed.
Does making an embed code private affect existing embedded players?
No, making the embed code private will not disable embedded players that are already in use for that track.
What happens if I change my URL?
If you change the URL for your profile, embeds will still play your sounds but, if the listener clicks through to the SoundCloud page, they will be directed to an empty page. We recommend to embed again your tracks and playlists.
