Liked By

Liked By makes it easier to discover music that’s resonating with your community on SoundCloud. When someone you follow—like a friend, fellow listener, or artist—likes a track, you’ll see their profile picture next to that track across the platform, for example in playlists you’re listening to.

How it works

Whenever a track has been liked by someone you follow, their profile image will appear next to it. See which tracks are on your community’s radar. Look for Liked By in:

  • Playlists (yours and others)
  • Search results
  • Track lists on artist pages
  • Your Home feed
  • Liked tracks
  • Your uploads
  • And more

Liked By playlists & track list

Follow friends or artists to see a list of liked tracks and playlists compiling their likes on home. The more people you follow, the more opportunities you have to check out what your favorite people and artists are liking. You are automatically opted in to these playlists and can opt out at any time in your Settings.

Why you’re seeing them

Liked By indicators are part of how SoundCloud helps to connect you with the people and artists you care about:

  • Expand your music taste beyond your current favorites
  • Help your followers discover new music every time you drop a like
  • Build community and encourage social connections on SoundCloud
  • Highlight active listeners in your musical community

These small signals make a big impact, helping you feel the presence of your community as you listen.

Want to see more Liked By activity?

To see more Liked By, follow people whose music taste you trust—friends, creators, or artists you’re into. The more people you follow, the more Liked By activity you’ll see across the platform.

You can also interact with tracks by liking them yourself, which helps your followers discover what you’re enjoying.
