After you enable a track as a paid download, you can return to its settings on web to review or update how it’s offered to fans.
What you can manage
Depending on what’s available for your track, you may be able to manage:
- Whether the track is available as a paid download
- The track’s price or available pricing option
- Whether a fan can pay an additional contribution
Some settings may only appear for eligible tracks or accounts.
How to change paid download settings
- Open Artist Studio on web.
- Find the track you want to update.
- Open the track’s paid download settings.
- Make your changes.
- Save and confirm the updated setup.
Once your changes are saved, they should apply anywhere the paid download feature is supported.
What happens when you update a track
Changing a track’s settings can affect what fans see before they buy.
For example, an update may change:
- Whether the paid download option appears
- The price shown at purchase
- Whether a fan can pay an additional contribution
Any changes only apply going forward. They don’t change what a fan already purchased.
Can I turn off paid downloads later?
If you no longer want a track to be sold as a paid download, you may be able to remove or change its availability from the same settings area.
In general:
- New buyers may no longer see the purchase option
- Existing buyers may still keep access to what they already bought
- Some tracks may have restrictions based on prior purchases or account state
Why can’t I edit a track’s settings?
You might not be able to update paid download settings when:
- The track isn’t eligible
- Your account doesn’t have access to paid downloads
- The track doesn’t meet required monetization or ownership rules
- The feature is only available on web and you’re trying from another surface
If the settings are missing or unavailable, check that you’re signed in to the correct artist account and editing an eligible track.
