How do I upload multiple tracks to SoundCloud?

First steps

To upload tracks as a playlist, go to the Upload page. You can get to the Upload page at any time by selecting the Upload button on your top navigation bar.

You can either click ‘Choose file to upload’ and select all the tracks that you want to upload, or you can drag and drop multiple files into the screen. Make sure that the box ‘Make a playlist when multiple files are selected’ is checked.

Please note: If you are on a Basic or Pro plan, you will see how much upload space have remaining on your account on the top of the Upload page. If you upload files that take you over the remaining space, you will no longer be able to upload unless you delete tracks or upgrade your plan.

Transcoding

Your files will immediately start uploading, and we will transcode them to be streamable on SoundCloud. We transcode all tracks to 128 kbps mp3 for streaming playback.

If you want your fans to be able to have your original file versions then you can enable downloads for your tracks. All downloads are of the original file, not the 128 kbps mp3 streaming version.

Add or change playlist information

While your tracks are uploading, you can add additional playlist information. When uploading multiple tracks at once, any information that you change or add will apply to all the relevant tracks (except track titles and URLs). Don’t worry, if you need to make changes after you have uploaded, you can edit tracks individually or in bulk afterwards. You can read more about how to do this here

Most SoundCloud users find music channels through Search and Explore, so optimizing your tracks for discovery is a good way of reaching a wider audience.

Ensure your tracks are well indexed and easily discoverable by optimizing your metadata through the use of strong titles, descriptions, and tags.
