Upload using the Soundcloud App

How can I upload my tracks using the SoundCloud app on my mobile device?

iOS:

  1. Tap the upward-pointing arrow on the top right of your home screen within the iOS app.
  2. In the file picker view, browse your most recent files or any location like iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, or local files. Tap the file, and the upload process will start.
  3. Ensure your metadata is correct, add artwork, a new title, genre(s), and description, and select whether you want your track public or private using the privacy toggle.
  4. Tap save (top right) to complete the upload. The track will appear on your profile, and in some cases, it may show a “processing” state, meaning the file is still being transcoded.

Android:

  1. Tap the upward-pointing arrow on the top right of your home screen within the Android app.
  2. In the file picker view, browse your audio files or any location like Google Drive, Dropbox, or local files. Tap the file, and the upload process will start.
  3. Ensure your metadata is correct, add artwork, a new title, genre(s), and description, and select whether you want your track public or private using the privacy toggle.
  4. Tap save (top right) to complete the upload. The track will appear on your profile, and you may see a blue spinner indicating the upload progress. If the track is not immediately playable, it may still be in the transcoding process.
