Managing your SoundCloud subscription should be straightforward, so you can get back to the music. Here is everything you need to know about upgrading, billing, and updating your details.
Upgrades & Changes
How can I upgrade my subscription?
Ready to level up? Whether you’re moving to more creator tools or a deeper listening experience, here is how to upgrade:
To upgrade from Artist to Artist Pro:
- Visit your Subscription Settings from the top-right corner of your SoundCloud dashboard.
- Select Edit on the subscription you wish to upgrade.
- Select Upgrade on the Artist Pro plan.
- Confirm your payment details, and you're all set.
To upgrade from Go to Go+:
- Visit your Subscription Settings.
- Select Edit on the subscription you wish to upgrade.
- Select Upgrade on the Go+ plan.
- Confirm your details, and you're all set.
Why is the price shown lower than what I’m paying?
The lower price you're seeing is the monthly equivalent of the yearly plan. If you're paying monthly, you're on the flexible plan—which is slightly more expensive over the course of a year.
How do I switch from monthly to yearly billing?
To switch and save:
- Cancel your current monthly plan from the Subscriptions tab (on desktop or mobile browser).
- After it expires, go back and re-subscribe using the yearly option.
Billing & Payments
When will I be charged for my subscription?
We offer two billing cycles to fit your needs:
- Monthly: Pay as you go, cancel anytime.
- Yearly: Pay once for the year at a lower overall cost.
The yearly plan is our best value. While it may be shown as a "per month" price on the pricing page to show you the savings, the full yearly amount is charged at checkout. Both monthly and yearly plans automatically renew.
You can view your current plan and opt out of any automatic renewals by visiting your Subscriptions page and clicking on the Edit icon.
How to update your payment details.
Keeping your billing info current ensures your music and your listening stay uninterrupted.
If you pay by credit or debit card:
- Log in to SoundCloud on the web or open the app.
- Go to your Subscriptions page.
- Click Edit, then select Manage your billing.
- Enter your new details and save your changes.
If you use PayPal or want to switch to it:
To update your PayPal info—or to switch from a card to PayPal—you’ll need to let your current plan expire and then start a fresh one. Because of how PayPal works, these changes are handled as a new subscription.
- Cancel your current plan at soundcloud.com/you/subscriptions.
- Wait for your current plan to reach its expiration date.
- Once it expires, visit your Subscriptions page and choose your desired plan.
- Enter your updated details and select your preferred payment method.
Note for Artist Pro creators: If your plan expires before you renew, don't sweat it. Your tracks stay exactly where they are—nothing is deleted. If you go over the free upload limit, your older tracks will simply be hidden from the public, but you can still see them on your Tracks page. They’ll reappear as soon as your new plan is active.
Note on already canceled plans: If you have already canceled any upcoming billing, the option to edit your info won't be available. You’ll simply need to purchase a new plan after your current subscription expires.
Manage Your Subscription
Can I change my subscription billing date?
There isn't a way to change the date your monthly payment is taken at the moment. If it's more convenient to have payment taken on another date, please opt out of automatic renewals in your account's Subscriptions page or via Apple by clicking on the Edit icon.
Your subscription will continue for the remainder of the 30-day period, and then you will be downgraded to the Basic plan. You can then choose to subscribe again through your Subscriptions page.
Can I pause my subscription?
It is not possible to pause a subscription. However, you can opt out of automatic renewals by going to your account Subscriptions page and clicking on the Edit icon.
Follow the prompt "Don't want to renew your plan?" to confirm that you would like to stop your recurring payment. When you cancel your subscription, please note that previous pricing will not apply to your new purchase.
