When you verify your email address, you help to significantly decrease the chances of unauthorized individuals gaining access to your account. This process acts as an additional layer of protection, ensuring that only you can manage and control your account settings and sensitive information.  

Confirmation emails are generally sent out instantly when you sign up. If you haven't received one yet, please try the following:

• Check your spam folder to make sure it didn't end up there by accident
• Add hello@soundcloud.com to your address book in your email settings. It may be that your email provider has bounced our email confirmation
• Try to sign in and if prompted, click ‘resend email’. You may need to go to the Email Settings to resend the email
• Try signing up with another method like Apple/Google

The magic link in the email does not work.

The link may have timed out. Sign in and click ‘resend email’. Go to the Email Settings to resend the email.

I confirmed my email, but I still can’t use SoundCloud properly.

If you confirmed your email, but are still being notified on-site that this action hasn't been made, don't worry. This is due to caching, and your profile not recognizing the new information. Please sign out and back into your account to refresh your profile.
