Managing Email Addresses in Your SoundCloud Account

How do I change my email address?

To change your primary email address:

  • Go to your Settings Page
  • Select the Primary Email: If you have more than one email associated with your account, simply click the 'Make primary' button next to the email you want to set as your primary address.

  • Verify your identity with One Time Password for added security: To protect your account, when you change your primary email address, you may be asked to verify your identity with One Time Password. After selecting the new email address, you will be prompted to verify your email by sending a 6 digit verification code to your current primary email. You will need to enter this code to confirm the change. This extra step helps ensure that only you can update your account primary email. If you don’t receive the code, please check your spam folder or request a new code.

 

 

 

How do I add a new email address to my account?

To add a new email address:

  • Go to your Settings Page
  • Add the Email: Enter the new email address in the 'Add an email address' field.
  • Confirm the New Email: A confirmation email will be sent to the new address. Check your inbox and click the confirmation link to complete the process.

 

What should I do if I experience issues, such as not receiving the confirmation email? 

If you don’t receive the confirmation email:

  • Check Your Spam/Junk Folder: Sometimes, the confirmation email might be filtered into your spam or junk folder, so check there first.
  • Resend the Confirmation Email: If you still don’t see the email, go back to your SoundCloud settings and resend the confirmation. You can send a password reset email from your settings page.
  • Verify Email Address Accuracy: Ensure that the email address you entered is correct. A typo could prevent the email from being delivered.

 

How do I remove an email address from my account?

To remove an email address:

  • Go to your Settings Page
  • Remove the Email: Click "Remove address", and then confirm the changes by clicking "Delete"

Note: If you only have one email associated with your account, you won’t be able to remove it. You must add another email address before you can delete the existing one.
