  2. What happens when I delete a track on SoundCloud?

    • Deleting a track will remove it from your account. You will no longer be able to edit or replace the track, and it cannot be reinstated. However, the track’s accumulated stats will still remain on your Insights page but will be shown with the title ‘Deleted or disabled track.’

  3. Is it possible to restore a deleted track on SoundCloud?

    • No, it is not possible for you or SoundCloud to restore a track once it has been deleted from your account.

  4. Can I delete multiple tracks at once on SoundCloud?

    • As of now, it is not possible to delete multiple tracks in bulk. Each track must be deleted individually.

  1. Why might a warning or checklist before deletion be useful?

    • A warning or checklist before deletion would help prevent accidental deletions by ensuring that users have considered all implications, such as losing the ability to edit or replace the track and the inability to recover the track once deleted.

  2. What could be included in a deletion checklist?

    • Check for Backups: Ensure that you have a backup of the track if you want to keep a copy.
    • Review Track Stats: Consider whether you want to retain the track for its stats, even if you plan to make it private instead of deleting it.
    • Collaborator/Listener Notification: Inform any collaborators or listeners who may be impacted by the deletion.
    • Final Confirmation: Double-check that this is the track you intend to delete and understand that deletion is permanent.
