Cast to devices
Take your listening experience beyond your phone – cast your SoundCloud tracks directly to nearby devices, whether it's a smart speaker, headphones, or your smart TV. Cast to devices is compatible with devices that support Bluetooth, AirPlay, or Chromecast casting functionality.
How to cast
To start casting, make sure you're on the latest version of the SoundCloud app for iOS and for AirPlay and Chromecast, be sure your phone and device are on the same wifi network. Then:
- Select the track you want to play
- Tap the cast icon
- Choose a nearby device from the list (TVs, smart speakers, headphones, and more)
- Once connected, your audio will start playing on the selected device
- You’ll be able to control playback from your phone
Troubleshooting Tips
If you don’t see your device listed, make sure:
- It’s powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network (for AirPlay and Chromecast)
- You're running the latest version of the SoundCloud app
- Your iOS device's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are turned on
- Try restarting your device or the SoundCloud app if the issue persists
Availability
Cast to devices is currently available for iOS devices globally.
To connect to specific devices:
ChromeCast
You can stream SoundCloud directly from your Android phone or tablet to a sound system.
Steps:
- Download the SoundCloud app to your device
- Make sure your device is connected to the same WiFi
- The icon should then appear in the app for you to connect to SoundCloud
- Click the icon for a louder listening experience!

AirPlay
With AirPlay, you can use any supported Apple device to play SoundCloud.
Steps:
- Please ensure that your device is compatible with Airplay, you can check that here
- Play any track on SoundCloud
- Swipe up to open your control center
- Click on and hold down the audio card where you can see your track playing
- Click on Airplay
- Tap the TV or speakers that you’d like to connect to
