Fan Support allows fans to financially support their favorite artists on SoundCloud—going beyond plays, comments, reposts, and likes. Fans can send one-off payments, and artists keep 100% of the amount (after payment processing fees). Top Supporters appear on a public leaderboard on the artist’s profile.

Fan Support is part of our effort to help artists build stronger connections with fans and unlock new ways to earn from their art.

How it works:

For Supporters

1. Tap the “Support” button on an artist’s profile (only visible if Fan Support is enabled).

2. Choose an amount ($1–$1,000) or select from preset levels (e.g., $5, $10, $50).

3. Check out securely using your preferred payment method (credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay).

4. Confirmation & leaderboard: A confirmation dialog will appear. The artist will receive a notification, and you may appear on the Top Supporters leaderboard if your contribution qualifies.

For Artists

Setting Up Fan Support

1. Once eligible, a “Get Started” indicator appears on your profile.

2. Follow the steps to create an account with Adyen, our third-party payment provider.

3. After confirmation, the Fan Support module will appear for fans visiting your profile.

4. Update your account details anytime via Manage Account in the Fan Support Dashboard.

Payments

1. Receive a push notification on mobile and an email confirmation for each payment.

2. Track payments in your Fan Support Dashboard, which shows:

   • Pending balance: Support has not yet been transferred to your Adyen account.

   • Available balance: Support transferred to Adyen, paid on the next payout date.

3. Payouts: Monthly, once your balance reaches the $10 minimum threshold.

4. Payout history: View all previous payouts and tap for detailed information, including fees.

Refunds

Please note that Fan Support purchases are non-refundable. This policy is in place to ensure fairness and clarity for all users. Refunds will only be issued in specific circumstances where they are explicitly required by applicable laws. To find out more, visit our Terms of Use.

International Availability

Artists: This service is currently accessible exclusively within the United States. However, plans are underway to expand availability to additional regions in the near future.
